Derrick Thames

Derrick’s heart is to see the church fully enter into the mission of God in the world – to make the Word flesh in the neighbourhood. His desire is to see God’s people really following Jesus and finding their place in His Story. In 2004 Derrick married his best friend, Dayna. God has since called them to ministry in contexts such as San Diego, Kosovo and now Scotland. Together they have three children: Hope, Hudson and Hannah (all born in Scotland). Derrick enjoys being together with his family, living in community, playing most sports, watching movies and sipping a good cuppa coffee with a book.

Amy Warner

Amy was born & raised in Erskine, and she has a big heart for this community. In 2012, after studying photography at college, Amy joined the ECN team as Youth & Media intern and has been with us ever since! She now works full-time as Youth Pastor as well as volunteering within Erskine for Young Life International, & serving as district NYI President for British Isles North. Amy also recently helped to set up www.JustThreads.org – a ‘social good’ company. She loves to travel and regularly finds ways to combine this passion with her ministry. In her moments of spare time you’ll find Amy connecting with friends & young people over coffee, reading a good book or exploring with her camera.

Ryan Smith

Ryan is another one of our ‘Erskine Natives’. He started as our Children & Family Work intern in 2014, and is loving every moment of working with the kids & families of our community. Ryan married Sarah in Summer 2015, and is also currently studying Theology at the Baptist College in Paisley, while working with the young people in that community through the St Matthews Church of the Nazarene.

Finlay MacKinnon

Finlay officially joined the team as church intern at ECN in January 2017 and is excited to serve here, learn more about Gods calling, and to understand what ministry is all about. He has a lot of energy and loves to use it to help with the children & youth work here. His favourite thing to do is to watch football with friends, and you’ll often find him preparing meals to host people in his home & chat about faith.

Catie Combes

Catie moved to Scotland from Oklahoma, USA in 2014 as a volunteer with Nazarene Mission Corps. She is heading up a team through ECN that is setting up Jubilee House – a place of refuge for woman & children escaping domestic abuse. (www.jubileehouse.co.uk)
