young life wales 2012

Young Life Holidays are adventure packed Christian activity holidays that cater for a whole host of young people from 10-18 years old.

This year groups from both Erskine and Perth churches went along to discover a wide mix of sport, games and excursions while also exploring the Christian faith.

A typical day started with messy team building games followed by lunch then free time to try your hand at anything from water sliding to canoeing, assault courses to quad biking. In the evening a time of worship was followed by a light hearted sermon which everyone was encouraged to talk about in their own groups. After that kind of exhausting day sleep was easy to come by and then up again the next day for more of the same!

“Over the summer, I was at the Young Life camp in Powis, Wales. It was a really good week, even though it was a bit crazy. I was unsure at first about what the week was going to be like. My favourite part was probably just how crazy it was and getting to spend time with people and getting to know them better. The last night at the camp was extremely powerful. All of the staff at the camp did a cardboard testimony and it was really inspiring. This was really encouraging and overall, in the whole week, I feel I grew a lot closer to God. It was a crazy fun week and I’m so glad that I was a part of it!” -Sarah Wilson
