Last night, Erskine Church of the Nazarene held another Prayre event which focused on Jesus, the cross and what life and freedom we have through His great sacrifice! It was a powerful and Spirit-filled night of prayer, meditation and worship. God was on the move! And even when all was said and done, God still had more for us!

This Easter, many of the churches of Erskine are coming together for the first time in years to bless the community as a whole.  Tomorrow (Saturday, 10 am – 2 pm), ‘Erskine Churches Together’ will be holding an outreach day that will be held at Morrison’s and Bargarren to hand out Easter bags filled with chocolate Easter eggs to be a blessing to our community.  Each church has been collecting donations of Easter eggs for the past few weeks to make this day a great day of celebration of joy and blessing!

After the Prayre event, over 19 people stayed on to help put the donated easter eggs and chocolates into bags, tie them up with coloured ribbon and attach a ‘Happy Easter’ card and Bible verse on the back.  We made 202 bags in less than 40 minutes!  Many hands make light work.  On top of that, last weekend, the high school girls from Collision life group made 90 bags!  So in total, Erskine Church of the Nazarene are contributing 292 bags to give out to our community! How amazing is that?

Thank you to all who devoted themselves to donate eggs (totalled over 1,000 chocolate eggs) and to those who helped put them together.  You all made this possible!

If you are wanting to help bless our community by handing them out tomorrow we are meeting at:

Where: Morrison’s

When: 10 am to 2 pm

Whether from 5 minutes to 4 hours, feel free to come and go throughout the time! It is going to be an amazing weekend.

Come and help us spread the joy and celebration this Easter weekend. Hope to see you there! 🙂
