After a successful fireworks night, day two of Erskine Church of the Nazarene’s anniversary weekend had begun. The Saturday morning started out with 200 tiger bread loaves and 27 volunteers, ready to embark out into the communities of Erskine and Bishopton.

The volunteers were placed into groups based on various location areas, and then sent out to give a free loaf of bread and an invite to come back to the church later that night for a free community potluck meal.

Only a few short hours would pass until the church doors would open again, ready to minister to those who live around us. Pastor Derrick Thames stated that this meal would be the “potluck of potlucks” as this year we intentionally invited those who came to the Fireworks Night as a “thank you.”

As a result, about 80 people came in attendance to the community potluck. Not only were they provided a free meal (and dessert!), but were also entertained with games, music and as well as a brief message from Derrick Thames.

The day/night was an overall huge success and want to say a huge “thank you” to all who donated their time and money to make it all happen. Praise the Lord for He is GOOD!
